TRAIN
ALFA PENDULAR
Daily departures from Oporto (Campanha station) and from Lisbon (Oriente station).
The journey will take around 6 h (from Oporto) and 3 h (from Lisbon).
The cost is 65,50€ from Oporto and 26,00€ from Lisbon.

INTERCIDADES
Daily departures to Faro. If the beginning of your trip is Oporto, you have to change in Lisbon. From Lisbon is a direct train.
The journey will take about 8h from Oporto and 4h from Lisbon.
The cost is 52,00€ from Oporto and 23,50€ from Lisbon.

BUS
You can also travel to Faro by bus with the following companies:

Lisbom - Faro:
Daily buses with departures at 08.15h; 10.30h; 15.15h and 18.30h
One way ticket costs 18,00€.

REDE EXPRESSO
Daily buses from Lisbon to Faro with 11 different departures. One way ticket costs between 17,50€ and 18,00€.
With this company you can also travel from Oporto. There are daily buses with 10 different departure hours. One way ticket costs 24,00€.

CAR
If you choose to travel by car use the highways to get to the Algarve and to Faro.
From Lisbon take A2. The journey will take about 3h and the toll cost is 17,70€ (one way in a class 1 vehicle). Add the fuel costs.
If you travel from the North take A1, then A13 and finally A2. In this route the toll cost is 36,90€ (one way in a class 1 vehicle). Add the fuel costs.

If you enter Portugal by airplane there is at your disposal several rent-a-car in the airport.
